Our Y6 children have been working on a budgeting project this week, which has seen them work out how much they would get paid for their dream job (taking away NI and Income Tax), how mortgages work and the costs involved in buying or renting a house, how to input that data onto spreadsheets using formulas and finally planning a day’s meals and then working out the costs. It has been an eye-opening project for them to see how much (or how little!) is left at the end of each month! #nurtureandgrowth #engageandinspire #prideandjoy
