This week in Year 3, our children have continued to learn about Diwali and how this Hindu festival is celebrated. The children learned that rangoli patterns are designed and created to welcome visitors and good fortunes into homes during the festival. They took note of patterns, shapes and colours when designing theirown rangoli patterns. They tried using coloured rice to bring them to life and even created a chalk rangoli pattern on the classroom doorstep.
