In conjunction with their topic of WW2, our Y6 children have been asked by Stamford Town Council to produce some artwork for its Holocaust Memorial Day 2019 Exhibition. The children had a thought-provoking lesson with age-appropriate information about the Holocaust, from which they have now produced some very powerful artwork. The theme this year was ‘Torn from Home’. A small selection of the artwork is on display at the Town Hall this week daily between 10am and 3pm, but there will be a chance to see more of the artwork at our whole school Art Exhibition in June. There will also be a Holocaust Memorial Service at 11am on Friday 25 January at St Michael’s Churchyard, High Street, if you wish to attend. #engageandinspire #prideandjoy #nurtureandgrow
