In Maths, our Y6 children have been learning about 'The Order of Operations'. They've been busy practising their BIDMAS skills in their Power Maths books and completing extra challenges too. BIDMAS is a mathematical acronym for the order of operations: Brackets, Indices, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction. It provides a set of rules to solve mathematical problems in the correct sequence, ensuring consistent answers. Division and multiplication have equal priority and are performed from left to right, as do addition and subtraction.
