Y3 - HISTORY

Our Y3 children have loved their history topic of the Stone Age this term. Funded by the PTFA, Historic  Workshops ran a Stone Age day, during which the children studied artefacts, tried archery and made arrowheads with flint, twine and sticks. They also studied animal bones and identified ways that they could be useful in the Stone Age. The pupils were also delighted to recreate a model of Stone Henge which helped them understand the different phases of the building of Stone Henge, as well as working together to think about how the stones could have been transported all the way from Wales to Wiltshire thousands of years ago! We are looking at how the Bronze Age and Iron Age led on from the Stone Age next term! #engageandinspire #nurtureandgrowth #prideandjoy
