Y3 have been studying plants as part of their science topic this term. They have dissected pansies to see all the different parts of a plant, placed a white carnation in red and blue food colouring to show water transportation in the xylem so the petals will turn red/blue, used celery to show the cross section of the xylem and planted a radish seed to germinate. Later this term we will be growing cress to see how different conditions affect growth. We will all be plant experts by the end of this term! #nurtureandgrow #prideandjoy #engageandinspire
