In art, our Y2 children have used natural resources to create insect artwork to link with our Power of Reading book, The Lonely Beast. We were inspired by artists Raku Inoue and Nora Fok. We also thought about the body parts of the insects; the thorax, abdomen, antennae and wings when creating our artwork. We are continuing with our theme of insects, gardens and minibeasts over the coming weeks and are looking forward to creating a pop-up ‘growing’ flower in a garden scene. #nurtureandgrow #prideandjoy #engageandinspire
