GOALBALL FESTIVAL
Last week, we took a team to Borderville Sports Centre to take part in a goalball festival. There were eight teams entered, and we were delighted to win all our games as well as scoring the most goals! For those who don't know about goalball, it is a game devised in 1946 for soldiers who had lost their sight. For this festival, our players were blindfolded and had to rely on their other senses to score a goal with a ball containing a bell. It is now a recognised Paralympian sport and a game which is much enjoyed during some of our PE lessons across the school. #prideandjoy #engageandinspire #nurtureandgrowth
