One of our DT topics this year, alongside the Go Kart collaboration with Cummins, was an introduction to CAD (Computer Aided Design). Two of our four Y5 classes took part in designing a trophy for the Go Kart race, which will take place at the end of the academic year. Two pupils from each class were voted as designing the best trophy, and visited SES’s DT department, where Mr Newton, head of DT showed them around the department and presented them with their 3D printed designs! I’d like to thank Mr Newton for his continued support with this project each year, and we look forward to visiting next term when the final two Y5 classes have their turn to work with Cummins and design their own trophy! #prideandjoy #engageandinspire #nurtureandgrowth
